World Expos are massive opportunity for the exhibition stand builders in Dubai and other places to get indulged in six months long event extravaganza participated by 100 countries and thousands of exhibition stand builder companies. One such mega event about to be organized in October 2020 is World Dubai XPO 2020. Also named as Expo 2020, it is a World Expo to be hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates opening from the date October 20, 2020. In a bidding among countries The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris awarded Dubai as the host on November 27, 2013.
As a World Expo, it generally happens to be maximum of six months in length and weaves around a bigger universal theme applying to entire humanity. The previous themes for the world expos were "Man and His World" Montreal Expo 67, "Leisure in the Age of Technology" Brisbane Expo 88 and "Discovery" Seville Expo 92.
The main exhibition site of Expo Dubai 2020 is around 438-hectare area (1083 acres) situated between Dubai and Abu Dhabi cities, near Dubai emirate's western border with Abu Dhabi emirate. The main master plan for the expo has been designed by the American firm HOK, is set around a central plaza, named as Al Wasl, and enclosed by three large pavilions which will be built by Al-Futtaim Carillion, each one dedicated to a sub-theme.
However, for winning the bid against the host countries in EXPO 2020 against Turkish, Brazilian and Russian opponents the Dubai is now preparing for the event for which Dubai is preparing, whole, heartedly and awaited by exhibition stall designers, worldwide, impatiently.
Inspired from the Dubai’s Arabic name Al Wasl (?????), that, means “the connection”, EXPO Dubai 2020 is based on an ambitious theme named “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” that is further divided into three sub-themes. Thus, the sub themes are further constituted as:-
• Opportunity: This first sub theme is based around unlocking new opportunity for people and communities to be acknowledged as successful contributors to the future depending upon people’s and businesses’ inter connection as a factor for the world’s social and economic development.
• Mobility: This sub theme is based around developing smarter and more productive physical and virtual connections. Under the entire focus and concentration is upon people, goods and data mobility strategies, devices, and infrastructures.
• Sustainability: The third and final subtheme is based upon the hopes and aspirations of people, especially, around sustainable production and consumption of energy and water. They both are essential part of ,everyday, life of people in Arabian country.
The initiatives for the expo has been started, where, project “Meet the Artists” has been started that have invited 21 artist from across the globe to create a graphic sub-themes for opportunity, mobility and sustainability. The designs are exhibited across 21 public spaces across the United Arab Emirates.
